Deadlines, Deadlines

We’re now just three weeks away from the submission deadline for Crimespace’s first short-story competition. Entries must run no more than 2,500 words in length and have to be submitted to crimespace@gmail.com by January 31. More details are here.

Meanwhile, the end of the British Crime Writers’ Association’s 2008 Debut Dagger contest is only a month away. As the CWA Web site explains, “Competitors have until midnight on 15 February to get their entries in. The Debut Dagger is open to anyone who has not yet had a novel published commercially. First prize is £500 plus two free tickets to the prestigious CWA Duncan Lawrie Dagger Awards and night’s stay for two in a top London hotel. All shortlisted entrants will receive a generous selection of crime novels and professional assessments of their entries, and will also be invited to the Dagger Awards Dinner.” To learn more about entering, click here.

Thanks for the mention.

Just so we don't catch out folk living in, for example, Seattle, I should point out that our deadline of midnight is GMT, when it will be 4pm on the US west coast and varying times in between. SO don't leave it till the last minute!
