I’m not a subscriber to Publishers Marketplace, so I am going to have to depend on the veracity of critic David J. Montgomery’s note today about PM’s list of the “50 Most Reviewed Books of 2007.” Apparently, Ann Patchett’s Run received the most attention, and there are “only three books that could loosely be considered crime fiction” on this rundown: The Yiddish Policemen’s Union, by Michael Chabon (26 reviews); New England White, by Stephen L. Carter (20 reviews); and Christine Falls, by Benjamin Black (15 reviews).
I presume that PM is restricting itself here to some definition of “major reviews” appearing in the print media, as those three books were almost certainly critiqued more widely online than the mag’s numbers suggest.

It's PublishersMarketplace, not PW. They track reviews in the major newspapers. (I'm not sure how far down the list they go.)
Whoops. Thanks for the title correction, David. I have fixed it in the post. -- Jeff
