Sampling Crime in Sampa

If you have any doubt that crime fiction has achieved worldwide appeal, you need only visit Livraria Do Crime, which is touted as “the first Brazilian mystery bookstore,” located in the southern city of São Paulo. Despite a recent trip to Lisbon, I’m not fluent in Portuguese. But other readers will likely find titles here that aren’t available in English-speaking countries.

Travelers looking for crime-fiction bookshops elsewhere in the world should check out this list at the Mystery Readers International site.
