Speaking of upcoming events, Montreal blogger Jacques Filippi writes to say that he and Guy Dubois, owner of La Maison Anglaise et Internationale Bookstore in Quebec City, have co-founded the QuebeCrime Festival, which will be held this year from Friday, October 28, through Saturday, October 30.
“We have assembled a great line-up: Ian Rankin, Lawrence Block, Denise Mina, Louise Penny, Kathy Reichs, Daniel Woodrell, Craig McDonald, Hilary Davidson, John Brady, Anne Emery, Ian Hamilton, Andrew Pyper, Simon Toyne, plus two more that should be confirmed today or over the weekend,” explains Filippi. (A preliminary schedule of events is available here.) “Response was so good that we’ve already started booking authors for next year, when the festival will be held October 25-27.”
Tickets for the QuebeCrime Festival will go on sale this coming Monday, September 12. For more information, click here.
