Second Helping of Kerr

Last year I conducted a rather long interview for The Rap Sheet with British author Philip Kerr, who writes the extraordinary Bernie Gunther historical thrillers. Today, I take another shot at Kerr in a briefer interview for Kirkus Reviews, asking him about the source of his interest in Berlin, the importance of historical research, and his brand-new U.S. release, Field Gray, which seems like a series departure.

You’ll find our entire exchange here.

Great interview, Jeff, kudos! Personally, Field Grey may be my favourite Bernie Gunther yet. Nice to know there's another one on the way.
