Congratulations to Brooklyn writer Anthony Rainone, a contributor to The Rap Sheet and January Magazine, and a co-editor of the crime poetry anthology The Lineup, whose new short story, “Tomb Guardian,” is due out in the September 2010 edition of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.
“Tomb Guardian” finds a Nebraska State Patrol criminal investigator named Alex Rothko visiting a prison inmate, Jacob Baxter, who claims to have important new information about the murder of a retired chief deputy--the murder for which Baxter himself has been incarcerated. Rothko doesn’t imagine that Baxter’s information will lead him anywhere significant, but he’s at least willing to follow it up. And in the course of doing so, he seeks help from a captain with the Florida State Law Enforcement Department named Jeff Pierce. Hmm, I wonder how Rainone could have come up with that name ...

Sounds like an interesting read. I enjoy AHMM cover to cover and will look forward to this one.
Cool. I'll be looking for that one, Cap.
Great stuff Tony!
