A little over a month ago, we alerted you to a flash fiction contest that was being organized by Patti Abbott, Aldo Calgano, and Gerald So. The challenge was to, first, write and submit the opening sentences of a prospective short story. Once those paragraphs were received, they would be shuffled and randomly distributed to all of the writers entering this competition. Each entrant was then supposed to compose a 750-word-or-so story employing whichever opening they’d received.
The submissions have now been compiled and are available online--almost two dozen stories in total. An impressive assortment, no question about it.
