Good Op, Bad Op
Manchester, England-based writer Gordon Harries, best known in these parts as proprietor of the blog Needle Scratch Static, has a new gig. He’s now penning a column about crime fiction for the online mag The Hub, which usually concentrates on science fiction, horror, and fantasy. The first installment of Harries’ “Crime Scene” concentrates on onetime Pinkerton detective Dashiell Hammett and his first novel, Red Harvest (1929). Check it out here.

Thank you for the hat tip, sir. Very kind of you.
The coverage will be more than just a monthly column, though…expanding into reviews, an advance look at a highly anticipated TV show (at least here in Blighty) and an interview with an author of ’popular fiction’ between here and march.
