Supporting Indie Publishers

There are several dozen category winners in this year’s INDIES Book of the Year Awards program, coordinated by Foreword Reviews and designed to “celebrate outstanding books published in 2025 by small, independent, and university presses.” Four novels have been honored as outstanding examples of adult mystery fiction:

Gold MedalA Murder in Zion, by Nicole Maggi (Oceanview)
Silver MedalGarbage Town, by Ravi Gupta (Greenleaf Book Group Press)
Bronze MedalKiller Tracks, by Mary Keliikoa (Level Best)
Honorable MentionDying Cry, by Margaret Mizushima (Crooked Lane)

Four others have won in the adult thriller and suspense division:

Gold MedalThe Mean Ones, by Tatiana Schlote-Bonne (Creature)
Silver MedalThe Art of Greed, by Hans Peter Brunner (Greenleaf Book Group Press)
Bronze MedalNovel Threat, by Traci Hunter Abramson (Shadow Mountain)
Honorable MentionThe Haunting of Emily Grace, by Elena Taylor (Severn House)
