New York writer Alex Segura’s comics-born novel, Secret Identity (Flatiron), was named yesterday as the winner of the 2023 Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Mystery/Thriller.
Also nominated in that category were We Lie Here, by Rachel Howzell Hall (Thomas & Mercer); Back to the Garden, by Laurie R. King (Bantam); All That’s Left Unsaid, by Tracey Lien (Morrow); and The Cartographers, by Peng Shepherd (Morrow).
