Of Latkes and Literature
Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukkah, the annual Jewish celebration, which will last for eight days—“plenty of time,” as Janet Rudolph contends, to read the dozens of Hanukhah-related novels and short stories listed in her blog, Mystery Fanfare. Among those choices: Saturday the Rabbi Went Hungry, by Harry Kemelman;The Tattooed Rabbi, by Marvin J. Wolf; and Dog Have Mercy, by Neil Plakcy.
