Like Ice She Was, by William Ard (Monarch, 1960). This was the second and final book (after 1959’s All I Can Get) that Ard wrote about New York City private investigator Lou Largo. Four additional series installments were subsequently penned under Ard’s byline by Lawrence Block and John Jakes.
