A Bit of Brit Wit

I always look forward to the beginning of a new month and the posting, in Shots, of Mike Ripley’s latest “Getting Away with Murder” column. He pokes broad fun at himself and seems to take great delight in his column-writing, and I always learn something from his pieces. September’s round-up features comments on Lee Child’s Personal, “Prince of Storytellers” Edward Phillips Oppenheim, a reprint edition of the Detection Club’s Six Against the Yard, a new biography of author John Creasey, and fresh entries in the genre from James Ellory, Andrew Williams, and Rennie Airth. Check it out here.
