Trimming the Field

Earlier today, the British Crime Writers’ Association announced its shortlists of contenders for the remaining three CWA 2013 Gold Dagger awards. They are as follows:

The Shining Girls, by Lauren Beukes (HarperCollins)
Dead Lions, by Mick Herron (Soho Crime)
Rage Against the Dying, by Becky Masterman (Orion)

Ghostman, by Roger Hobbs (Transworld)
Ratlines, by Stuart Neville (Random House)
The Sentinel, by Mark Oldfield (Head of Zeus)

Something You Are, by Hanna Jameson (Head of Zeus)
The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter, by Malcolm Mackay (Mantle)
Norwegian by Night, by Derek B. Miller(Faber and Faber)
Shadow of the Rock, by Thomas Mogford  (Bloomsbury)

The winners of these prizes are to be revealed on October 24, during the Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards presentation.

Six other annual CWA awards were handed out in July.
