In the run-up to the release of the new, 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, London’s Sunday Times includes a magazine cover feature about 007’s creator, Ian Fleming, and the time he spent working at that newspaper’s foreign desk. You’ll find the whole piece online here. Times subscribers, however, will also receive the full-size interior illustration by Peter Lorenz, who runs the blog Illustrated 007.
By the way, today happens to mark the 85th
birthday of Roger Moore, the actor who portrayed Britain’s most able espionage agent in seven movies during the 1970s and ’80s. Wherever you are in the world, be sure to raise a martini in Moore’s honor.
