British critic-editor Mike Ripley’s latest “Getting Away with Murder” column for Shots includes notes about Steven Powell’s encyclopedia new work, 100 American Crime Writers (to which I had the honor of contributing); John Gordon Sinclair’s debut novel, Seventy Times Seven; publisher Orion’s Murder Room project; Titan’s revival of classic fiction by Sax Rohmer and Helen MacInnes; and Felix Francis’ launch of his new novel, Bloodline, “on the 50th anniversary of the publication of [his
late father, Dick Francis’] novel Dead Cert back in 1962.”
