Cold, Hard Truth

Tonight will bring the third and last episode in the current run of Wallander episodes, running under the umbrella of PBS-TV’s Masterpiece Mystery! series. This final installment, “Before the Frost,” will begin at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It’s based on a novel of the same name, written by Henning Mankell and published in English in 2005.

Enjoyed the episode, as always. While I liked the scenes with his daughter, ths was my least fav of season three. When the heck did a season equal, three episodes?

Yes, they do things different in Britain. Fewer series installments per year, of higher quality than we often see in the States, must keep the TV schedule pretty lively.

And it's funny how opinions differ so. I liked "Before the Frost" a great deal--it's one of my favorite episodes of Wallander so far--but wasn't as fond of the previous episode, "The Dogs of Riga," which I thought bounced around too much as it tried to fit too much material into 90 minutes.

Cheers,
Jeff

Am I the only one who wishes Wallander would get a new ringtone on his cell phone?

Definitely not, Randal.
