Can’t You Hear ’Em Howling?

The Wolfe Pack, a New York City-based organization devoted to Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe detective yarns, today announced its nominees for the 2012 Nero Awards. Those contenders are:

Guilt by Association, by Marcia Clark (Mulholland)
The Silent Girl, by Tess Gerritsen (Ballantine)
The House of Silk, by Anthony Horowitz (Mulholland)
Spiral, by Paul McEuen (The Dial Press)
Though Not Dead, by Dana Stabenow (Minotaur)
Black Orchid Blues, by Persia Walker (Akashic)

As a press release explains, “The Nero Award is presented each year to an author for the best mystery written in the tradition of Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe stories. It is presented at the Black Orchid Banquet, traditionally held on the first Saturday in December in New York City.”
