Vote tallying has finally been completed in Round One of blogger Jen Forbus’ “World’s Favorite Detective” tournament. The 16
triumphant sleuths are listed here.
While I’m sorry to see Philip Kerr’s Bernie Gunther and Arnaldur Indridason’s Erlendur Sveinsson fall out of the competition so soon, it is good to see that such worthies as Lew Archer, Alan Banks, Easy Rawlins, Tess Monaghan, Sherlock Holmes, and Philip Marlowe live to fight another day.
