Expose Yourself to Literature

This could change the nature of author events, liven up your local library, and put a shimmy in today’s book industry. Imagine:
Naked Girls Reading is a group of beautiful ladies who love to read ... naked. That’s really it. There’s not a whole lot more to it. Should there be?

I mean, sure, we also like to do it in front all of you voyeurs via photos, videos and very special live events, but you don’t have to look for something larger here--something pretentious or even seedy. Once you experience it, you’ll stop asking so many questions and just let the concept take you.
We’re not quite sure how we missed the Naked Girls Reading movement. It started in Chicago early in 2009 and is spreading like wildfire wherever there are books and beautiful naked women to be found. Five American cities currently offer Naked Girls Reading programs. Interested entrepreneurs take note: franchise opportunities are available.

It was this piece in The Boston Globe that first brought the phenomenon to our attention. The event mentioned at the Oberon Club is highlighted here. And visit the gen-u-yne Naked Girls Reading Web site here. Finally, the Naked Girls reading list is here.

This month, the Naked Girls have decided to enjoy a Hard Case Crime novel: The Corpse Wore Pasties, by Johnny Porkpie. Purchases of the book generated from the Naked Girls Reading Web site will benefit Rock for Reading.
