Today brings the unveiling of the U.S. Postal Service’s “Early TV Memories” commemorative stamps. The set of 20 tiny sticky tributes--“released in an eye-friendly frameable sheet”--includes stamps recalling such small-screen classics as Dragnet, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Perry Mason, and The Twilight Zone, in addition to non-crime/mystery series on the order of The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet and I Love Lucy.
The official dedication ceremony for these stamps will be held at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, in Los Angeles. More on today’s release can be found here.
