Prize Dramas

Hans Werner Kettenbach has just been given the Glauser Award, Germany’s most prestigious crime-writing prize, for a lifetime of literary achievement. Black Ice, his first novel to be published into English, was released by Bitter Lemon Press in 2005. Kettenbach’s second translated novel, David’s Revenge, is being released in the UK this month, and in October in the United States.

Although the official announcement of this year’s Anthony Award nominees isn’t due out till next week, novelist Christa Faust has learned that her 2008 novel, Money Shot (already a Spinetingler Award winner) “has been nominated twice for the 2009 Anthony Award, for Best Paperback Original and also for Best Cover Art.” Who, pray tell, is leaking such news? And is there more?
