GalleyCat has posted a new video that shows James Lee Burke, one of two prominent authors who this week received Grand Master Awards from the Mystery Writers of America (the other one being Sue Grafton, of course), talking about the ascendancy of crime fiction to the status of “literature,” the artistry of James M. Cain, and how his daughter, Alafair Burke, was actually the first mystery writer in their family.
