Yes, it’s Friday. You don’t have to check the calendar again. But there’s been a slight change in the schedule. Rather than delivering another bunch of intriguing posts about unjustly forgotten crime and mystery novels that deserve re-examination, bloggers are today making suggestions of short stories or short-story collections we all ought to be reading, but aren’t. Among the authors whose abbreviated fiction finds supporters today are John D. MacDonald, Stephen King, Loel Yeo and Hylton Cleaver, Carroll John Daly, Jody Scott and Donald E. Westlake, Edward D. Hoch, Agatha Christie, Harlan Ellison, and the once famous Irwin Shaw.
Patti Abbott has a complete list of today’s participating blogs, plus a few write-ups that didn’t find homes elsewhere.
