The shortlist of nominees for the 2009 Galaxy British Book Awards (“Nibbies”) has been announced, and it’s good to see that a number of books featured in The Rap Sheet are among the contenders in the crime and thriller competition:
• The Business, by Martina Cole (Headline)
• Child 44, by Tom Rob Smith (Simon & Schuster)
• The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, by Stieg Larsson (MacLehose Press/Quercus)
• No Time for Goodbye, by Linwood Barclay (Orion)
• Revelation, by C.J. Sansom (Macmillan)
• When Will There Be Good News?, by Kate Atkinson (Black Swan)
This is one heck of a powerful shortlist. Picking a winner from these won’t be easy, but readers are invited to vote online for their favorites (click here). Public voting will conclude on March 28, with an announcement of winners in all of the categories to be announced on Sunday, April 5.
