Keep ’Em Comin’

Wow! It seems there’s a real bumper crop of terrific “forgotten books” choices spreading over the Web today. Not only do we have Simon Wood’s pick of A Clubbable Woman on this page, but elsewhere you’ll find write-ups about Double Indemnity, by James M. Cain; The Last Man Standing, by Jim Wright; The Dada Caper, by Ross H. Spencer (man, I remember laughing my way through that one years ago); He Died with His Eyes Open, by Derek Raymond; Woman of Straw, by Catherine Arley; and a longtime favorite of mine, The Big Kiss-Off of 1944, by Andrew Bergman. Patti Abbott hosts two more forgotten book tributes in her own blog, plus a list of all of today’s participating bloggers.

By the way, any authors who would be interested in contributing their own forgotten book nominations to The Rap Sheet are welcome to contact me at jpwrites@wordcuts.org.
