“Old Men” Gets a New Award

According to The Gumshoe Site’s Jiro Kimura, author Cormac McCarthy has won this year’s Maltese Falcon Award for his 2005 novel, No Country for Old Men. That commendation is given out annually by the Maltese Falcon Society of Japan to what its members think is the best hard-boiled/private eye novel published in Japan during the previous year.

A list of winners from years past can be found here.
