How Soon We Forget

In addition to Mary Reed’s tribute to Some Must Watch in The Rap Sheet, here are some of the other “forgotten” books being championed around the Web today: Night Without End, by Alistair MacLean; The Wind Chill Factor, by Thomas Gifford; Dogs of God, by Pinckney Benedict; Borrower of the Night, by Elizabeth Peters; and (is this one really forgotten?) A Moveable Feast, by Ernest Hemingway.

In addition, Detroit’s Patti Abbott--who is responsible for getting this series rolling--has a few authors suggesting noteworthy older books on her Web site: Night Dogs, by Kent Anderson; Jack’s Return Home, by Ted Lewis; and The Blank Wall and The Innocent Mrs. Duff, by Elisabeth Sanxay Holding. Check that same Web site throughout the day for additional submissions.
