Sorry to have been quiet for the last few days, but I was off on a mini-vacation to Washington’s Mount Rainier. My thanks go out to Canadian novelist Linda L. Richards (Death Was the Other Woman) for staffing the Rap Sheet desk during my absence.
Before leaving on Friday, I announced that this blog was holding a contest to give away free, signed copies of British author Charles Cumming’s two latest thrillers, the brand-new Typhoon and its immediate predecessor, The Spanish Game. All entrants had to do was answer one simple question.
Now that I’m back and well rested, allow me to announce the names of the winners, chosen at random. First place goes to John R. Clark of Hartland, Maine, who will receive a free hardcover copy of Typhoon. Second place goes to Joseph Cisneros of Salinas, California, who can expect to see a paperback copy of The Spanish Game turn up in the post sometime soon.
As always, thanks to everyone for playing. We hope to have more book giveaway contests in the future. As our Irish friend Declan Burke likes to say, “The best things in life are free ... books.”
