That’s the Ticket

The British Crime Writers’ Association is trying to get the word out that any authors, readers, or others who hope to attend the 2008 Dagger Awards presentation in London next Thursday, July 10, but who haven’t already purchased their tickets had better do so post haste. A CWA news release from yesterday explains:
Tickets for the Dagger Awards cost £90 each, plus a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Please contact Lesley Horton immediately.

This awards event, by the by, will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Park Lane. The evening is scheduled to begin with a drinks reception (how very civilized!) in the Oak & Pine rooms at 6:30 p.m., with dinner to follow in the Ballroom at 7:45 p.m. Gyles Brandreth, author of the Oscar Wilde mysteries, will be the guest of honor.

Oh, and as the invitations explain, “Black tie preferred.”
