It Must Be Spring. Things Are Blooming

It’s April Fools’ Day, but this is no joke: New issues have been posted of both Mysterical-E and Crime Squad.

In the former you’ll find new stories by Tom Rynard (“A Courtesan’s Death”), Frank Zafiro (“Shae”), Kris Asthton (“The Best-Laid Plans”), and Bryon Quertermous (“Utopia”); plus columnist Jim Doherty’s take on “The Pulp Roots of Raymond Chandler’s Early Novels” and Gerald So’s column, this time talking about the relative merits of television and books. Meanwhile, over at editor Chris Simmons’ Crime Squad, there’s a new short interview with Nicola Upson, author of An Expert in Murder, and a review of Robert Barnard’s Last Post, which looks as if it’s supposed to be accompanied by an interview that hasn’t been posted yet. We’re waiting, guys ...
