Author-critic Mike Ripley’s “Getting Away with Murder” column is the most consistently enjoyable element of the British Webzine Shots. The quipping Ripster is back today with his March installment, in which he compliments Minette Walters and the new “reality show” Murder Most Famous, blasts the Daily Telegraph’s list of “Fifty Crime Writers to Read Before You Die,” ponders the surfeit of new crime-fiction titles arriving on his doorstep, and raises a hearty toast to American Walter Satterthwait, author of the new short-story collection The Mankiller of Poojegai.
Ripley’s full menu is dished up here.
