In case you haven’t noticed already, the crucial second half of January Magazine’s “favorite crime fiction of 2007” rundown has been posted. This installment includes such winning reads as Joe R. Lansdale’s Lost Echoes, Peter Spiegelman’s Red Cat, Stella Remington’s Secret Asset, C.J. Sansom’s Sovereign, and Laura Lippman’s What the Dead Know.
All in all, 2007 seemed a particularly good year for crime fiction. And I think January’s critics represent that richness well in their selections. You’ll find Part I here, and the new Part II here.
