The “favorite books of 2007” lists continue to roll in. South Florida Sun-Sentinel critic Oline H. Cogdill adds to the pile a lucky-13 rundown that is topped by Laura Lippman’s What the Dead Know but also includes James W. Hall’s Magic City, Robert Crais’ The Watchman, and John Hart’s Down River.
As Sarah Weinman points out, Lippman’s newest novel found a place, too, on the Baltimore City Paper’s Top Ten Books of the Year assessment, along with Michael Chabon’s wonderful The Yiddish Policemen’s Union.
Daniel Hatadi shares his own favorites list over at Crimespace, but it goes beyond books published during the last 12 months. And Patrick Shawn Bagley offers up a substantial collection of new and old titles, but without comments.
