Crime for Kids’ Sake

It isn’t even yet Halloween (an occasion that seems to have provoked Butch “Eddie Munster” Patrick to rise from the graveyard of Hollywood child stars with a new, collectible CD single). But already Wolfmont Publishing--the folks behind the e-zine Crime and Suspense--are touting their second annual anthology of Christmas-themed crime stories, Carols and Crimes, Gifts and Grifters ($11.95), from the sales of which Wolfmont will make a donation to Toys for Tots.

“Last year,” reports editor Tony Burton, “we managed to raise $1,365, and this year we hope to do a lot better than that!”

Among this volume’s 15 contributors are Thomas H. Cook, Chris Grabenstein, Gay Toltl Kinman, and Margaret Fenton. “All the authors in this fantastic collection have contributed their time and creativity toward making this a brighter holiday season for children who have very little,” Burton explains.
