Black and White and Watched All Over
Independent Crime blogger Nathan Cain points us to a two-year-old site called Noir of the Week. There, self-avowed “Webmaster and noir fan” Steve-O (sorry, I tried to uncover his true identity, but without luck so far) reconsiders a half-century’s worth of film noir features, some of them worth owning, others good for a onetime rental with the boys. All of his reviews/retrospectives (I think) are accompanied by movie stills or posters, and some even come with video clips. A full roster of the movies he’s written about--from Alias Nick Beal (1949) to Woman on the Run (1950)--can be found here.
