Spillane--Back for More

I wrote a few months ago about how Hard Case Crime had acquired a previously unpublished standalone crime novel by the late Mickey Spillane, Dead Street, and how Spillane’s longtime friend, fellow author, and occasional editor, Max Allan Collins, had completed that work for publication. Now, Hard Case has released the cover art for Dead Street, a typically noirish illustration by Arthur Suydam, who also did the jacket art for Fright, a Cornell Woolrich title due out from Hard Case in August of this year.

Dead Street is set to appear in U.S. bookstores come November 2007. Meanwhile, a sample chapter can be found here.
