Most readers of The Rap Sheet probably don’t even notice the famous quotes we change irregularly at the bottom of this page. However, novelist Cara Black (Murder in Montmartre) happened upon our latest selection, from Agatha Christie: “It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story.” And she riffed off that statement in a post at The Lady Killers blog, noting that Dame Agatha might have said the same thing about Paris, where Black’s Aimée Leduc novels are set.
Glad somebody noticed.
