Vera Who?

Here’s a birthday we wouldn’t have known to celebrate, were it not for The Bunburyist: Vera Caspary, screenwriter and author of the noirish 1943 novel Laura (later made into a movie by Otto Preminger), was born on this date in 1899. She died in 1987.
