This Mortal Coyle

Responding to yesterday’s post about the top TV mustaches (and how many times does one have to mention that subject before it stops being funny?), television historian Ed Robertson tells me that tonight’s special guest on Talking Television with Dave White, a weekly production of “global radio station KSAV.org,” will be veteran scriptwriter Paul Robert Coyle. What does that have to do with mustaches? Well, among Coyle’s screenwriting credits are episodes of The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, Crazy Like a Fox, and Simon & Simon, the last of which co-starred the memorably bewhiskered Gerald McRaney as sibling private eye Rick Simon.

This interview is scheduled to begin tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET, 7:30 p.m. PT, and can be heard via Webcast by clicking here.

By the way, many prior installments of Talking Television with Dave White also concentrate on crime-fiction subjects, including Remington Steele, Charlie’s Angels, the music of Columbo, and the Sleuth Channel’s recent survey to select “America’s Top Sleuths.” An audioarchive of the show can be found here.
