Some Holiday Treats
Just finished writing my 11/12 Chicago Tribune column, and I must admit to being whelmed by the terrific choices coming up, from A Corpse in the Koryo, by James Church (a thriller set in North Korea, which might just remind you of the first books by Qiu Xiaolong and Olen Steinhauer), through Busted Flush’s resurrection of Mitchell Smith’s knockout 1990 prison novel, Stone City, and the already-touted magazine/paperback Murdaland, edited by Michael Langnas for MugShot Press.
