A Bite of Lecter

Random House announced today that it’s going to release onto the Web an extract from Hannibal Rising, the much-anticipated new novel by Thomas Harris, at some point tomorrow, Thursday. That excerpt will be available here.

If we understand the news release correctly, this chunk of Rising on early offer will come from Chapter 6 of the book, and will be available both in print form and as audio file, read by Harris himself. As the release observes, “This will be the first press and public sighting of Hannibal Rising. Copies are to be kept strictly under wraps until the day of publication, December 5th.”
