Speaking of The Rap Sheet’s poll about missing mystery novelists, I’ve decided to close down the voting on Friday of this week. So if you still haven’t expressed your opinion on this matter, you’ll want to do so post haste. The survey can be found in a silver box at the bottom of the right-hand column on this page. Although you’ll only be able to vote once, the software will allow you to check more than one box at the time you do vote.
When last I looked, Jonathan Valin, creator of Cincinnati, Ohio, detective Harry Stoner (The Lime Pit), had a slim lead in this race, with Martha C. Lawrence and Stephen Greenleaf right on his tail. I’ll announce the winner next week.
