As If There Weren’t Already Enough Things on the Web to Distract Us from Our Work ...

Following up on a post I wrote yesterday about the main title sequences of classic TV crime series, it seems that Lee Goldberg has now created a whole blog devoted to such openings. Appropriately called Main Title Heaven, it already boasts introductions to The Streets of San Francisco, T.J. Hooker, The Avengers, Vega$, Mannix, The Protectors, Dragnet, and The Magician, along with assorted other shows (such as Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lazarus Man, and Mary Tyler Moore) that don’t fall under the mystery-crime fiction rubric. As Goldberg writes, Main Title Heaven “justif[ies] my nocturnal wanderings” around the YouTube site.

Somebody give this man more coffee to keep him up at night!
