In author Domenic Stansberry’s masterful sequel to Chasing the Dragon, San Francisco cop-turned-private eye Dante (“The Pelican”) Mancuso goes looking for the missing daughter of a wealthy developer. In the process, he finds his beloved old neighborhood of North Beach endangered by real-estate pressures.
In his carefully considered review, January Magazine contributing editor Stephen Miller opines that, in The Big Boom, Stansberry “has followed up his first Dante Mancuso novel, Chasing the Dragon (2004), with a tale that is nothing short of masterful.”
