The Undercover Author

Here’s something I didn’t know until now--that Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher thriller series (The Hard Way, 2006), has been writing for all these years under a pseudonym. His given name, according to a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, is James Grant. The Journal explains that Grant assumed the Child nom de plume when he moved out of TV producing in the early 1990s, and embarked on a writing career. Seems he “wanted to start over as somebody else.”
