Patricia Cornwell’s Book of the Dead has won the Galaxy British Book Award (or “Nibbie”) for Best Crime Thriller of the Year. Also in the running: The Tin Roof Blowdown, by James Lee Burke; Bad Luck and Trouble, by Lee Child; The Grave Tattoo, by Val McDermid; and Exit Music, by Ian Rankin.
