Yesterday, the finalists were announced for the 2023 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes, in a dozen categories. Below are the five candidates for best mystery or thriller novel.
• Dark Ride, by Lou Berney (Morrow)
• Everybody Knows, by Jordan Harper (Mulholland)
• Sing Her Down, by Ivy Pochoda (MCD)
• All the Sinners Bleed, by S.A. Cosby (Flatiron)
• Time’s Undoing, by Cheryl A. Head (Dutton)
All of the winners will be announced on Friday, April 19, during this year’s Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
