The Female Point of View

According to its Web site, She Reads is “a multimedia company with editorial, video, social and digital content recommending books to women based on genre, habits, jobs, pop culture and lifestyle preferences.” At least for a while now, it has been asking readers to select their favorite books of the year in various genres. For 2023, it has nominated 12 mystery, thriller, and suspense titles for that honor:

All the Sinners Bleed, by S.A. Cosby (Flatiron)
Blood Sisters, by Vanessa Lillie (Berkley)
Bright Young Women, by Jessica Knoll (S&S/Marysue Rucci)
Don’t Let Her Stay, by Nicola Sanders (Independently published)
I Have Some Questions for You, by Rebecca Makkai (Viking)
Just Another Missing Person, by Gillian McAllister (Morrow)
None of This Is True, by Lisa Jewell (Atria)
Stone Cold Fox, by achel Koller Croft (Berkley)
The Only One Left, by Riley Sager (Dutton)
The Traitor, by Ava Glass (Bantam)
Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, by Jesse Q.
Sutanto (Berkley)
What Never Happened, by Rachel Howzell Hall (Thomas & Mercer)

Go here to vote for your favorite among these. But act soon, because this poll is slated to close on Sunday, December 3.
