The Crazy Mixed-Up Corpse, by Mike Avallone (Gold Medal, 1957). This was the eighth entry in Avallone’s series about “chameleon-like,” “film-obsessed” New York City private eye Ed Noon. The gorgeous cover art is credited to John Floherty Jr. And I just love the back-cover line, “She wore clothes nakedly."

That back cover blurb has to be the most "sultry" ever written (as Owen's Momma would say.)
